This summer while I was teaching a Pre-Kindergarten class. I came across yet another website that has a great selection of e-books for students.
TumbleBooks is an online collection of animated, talking picture books that teach kids the joy of reading. There are many favorite books, as well as many that soon became favorites of my students. The students listened to stories during center time, and then we would listen to another story while we were waiting to be dismissed.
At the end of most of the stories you will find a short set of questions to check comprehension. The students loved working through the questions after each story.
There are many stories available in both English and Spanish, so we were able to hear the story in both languages.
A subscription is necessary to gain access to TumbleBooks, but you are then allowed unlimited access to the book collection from home as well as at school.
